Paris Hilton reveals she’s started IVF

Paris Hilton is ready to take her relationship with Carter Reum to that next level, and we’re not talking about an engagement ring. The former Simple Life star opened up about her parenthood journey with her beau recently, revealing that they’ve started IVF to expand their crew. 

In a chat with Mara Schiavocampo on The Trend Reporter with Mara podcast, Hilton dished about petri dishes and her man, revealing that she can’t wait to start a family with Reum. “He is just my dream guy… [Carter’s] 100 per cent [the one],” she said. “We talk about [planning a wedding] all the time and planning our babies’ names and all of that. So, I’m really excited to just move on for the next step of my life, and finally just have a real life. Because I really do believe that having a family and having children is the meaning of life. And I haven't got to experience that yet, because I didn't feel like anybody deserved that love from me, and now I finally found the person who does.”

Hilton, who grew up in the spotlight thanks to her hotel mogul father Richard Hilton and her famous socialite mom Kathy Hilton (not to mention her own claims to fame through modelling, reality TV and singing), then revealed that there’s a good reason she and Reum have started picking out baby names: they decided to start the IVF process after speaking with Kim Kardashian.

“We have been doing the IVF, so I can pick twins if I like,” Hilton added, revealing the process is “the only way” that she can be sure to have fraternal boy and girl twins. “Kim [Kardashian] is actually the one who told me about that. I didn’t even know anything about it.”

After suffering from preeclampsia during her first two pregnancies (and placenta accrete during two childbirths), Kardashian has been open in the past about going through IVF and then using surrogates for two of her four children. According to Hilton, Kardashian not only shared her advice, but also introduced Hilton to her doctor. 

“It was tough, but I knew it would be worth it,” Hilton then said, adding that she already underwent the egg retrieval procedure. “I did it a couple of times… Just doing it together and having a partner that is just so supportive and always makes me feel just like a princess all the time ... that it wasn't that bad.”

Hilton and Reum began dating back in 2019, although they’ve known each other for years. According to People they connected at a Thanksgiving lunch, and they’ve been sharing those turkey leftovers ever since. It was only last April though that Hilton—who is also a huge social media influencer—went Instagram official with her man in a sweet post. “Happy Anniversary my love,” she wrote at the time. “My favourite thing to do is make memories with you. Your kisses are magical. I love being yours and knowing you're mine.”

This isn’t the first time Hilton has spoken so openly about wanting twins. Last September in a chat for the LadyGang podcast she revealed she’s already picked out a name for the girl. “I have baby London, which is the girl, and I'm trying to figure out a name for the boy,” she said. “So if you have any suggestions, I'm asking my friends. I don't want a theme of cities, but I don't know — it's hard to decide. London for sure for the girl; the boy, I'm just still trying to decide on.”
